The Process Begins With You!
Every successful project starts with good planning. And every remodel project is unique to your home and your vision, needs, and budget. As a starting point ask yourself the following questions:

- What is the scope of the project?
- How much do I want to spend on the project?
- Are there certain phases of the project that take priority over other phases? Can some phases be done at a later date?
- When do I want to start the project?

Phone Call
Once you have answered the above questions it is time to discuss the project. Call the office, any day (including weekends!) and ask to speak to Jay Grant. Set an Appointment For a No Obligation Consultation
After your initial phone call with Jay and if the project seems of interest to further share information, an appointment for a meeting will be held at one of two locations…your home or our One Main Street Meeting/Showroom. The meeting will be with Jay Grant.

Meeting/Consultation
The purpose and goals of the initial consultation are:
- Get acquainted
- Review in more detail your answers to the questions stated above (Including scope of work, timing, budget goals and your project funding)
- Discussion of what Pricing Strategy best suits your project and your personality
When we assist our Clients with renovations/additions, one of the pricing strategies we work with is an Open Book Pricing Program also known as Construction Management Cost Plus. While working with the Builder and Architect on design, this pricing program enables you to understand how major design changes can impact your budget. You have the opportunity to control the budget in a sophisticated, phase-by-phase overview of the project. An Estimating Worksheet is competed which establishes a budget for every phase of the project, as well as the total project.
We also work with Fixed Pricing per Client request.

Next Steps Are Decided Together
Next steps will be any one of the following or combination of each:
- Commission project design work by Grant Homes designer or architect depending upon project detail
- Commission Grant Homes to obtain proposals/bids from one or more of its subcontractors.
- Provide Jay with a copy of your building plans for budget analysis by Grant Homes Estimating Team
- Request a PSA (Professional Services Agreement) with Grant Homes to start the process of gaining a better understanding of the scope of work and budget.
In addition discuss timing of project planning including permitting, and start and finish of construction.

Selection Process
After completing the above steps, you will be ready to go into the details of the Selection Process
At Grant Homes, you will find the selection process thoroughly organized and carefully documented. You will work with our VP of Operations to guide you through the selection process and assist you with the completion of all your selections.
Scheduling & Construction
Grant Homes is a full service builder. We will assist in obtaining permits. Construction will commence immediately after permits are issued.
